How to Reach Cortona

Email this page | Printable
On the border between Umbria and Tuscany, at 600 metres above sea level, Cortona can be reached easily both by train (Terontola and Camucia are the nearest stations) and by car.

By Car:
Coming from the north down the A1 motorway (Autostrada del Sole): exit at Valdichiana-Bettolle and turn towards Perugia along the Perugia-Bettolle highway (S75bis). Exit the highway at its intersection with the SR71 and follow the sign for Cortona.

By Train:
On the Florence-Rome line get off at either Terontola or Camucia. On the Terontola-Perugia-Assisi-Foligno line, get off at Terontola.
Buses or taxis from both Terontola and Camucia offer a service to Cortona.
